Making at Maker Heights: Fabric, Fluidity, and Performance Art was organised by Natalie Raven and included the artists Carly Seller, Dagmar Schwitzgebel, Shelley Owen, Rocyhne Delaney McNulty and Davina Kirkpatrick, who come from a broad range of disciplines including Dance, Theatre, Fine Art, Performance Studies, and Scenography. The residency was about learning from each other, and recognising the different approaches to working with textile, body, and seascape in performance art. We co-created a timetable for the workshop, and each offered exercises to lead the group.
We were hosted by local artist and PhD researcher Beth Emily Richards, who provided her studio and her photography skills documenting parts of the workshop process and performance events.
